Wij van FONTRESCUE gaan op zoek naar oude letters op gebouwen, grafstenen, machines,..... Letters soms ontworpen door bouwmeesters, maar meestal is de auteur onbekend.
Voor ze verdwijnen willen we ze redden door ze te digitaliseren en door ze aan te vullen tot een volwaardig bruikbaar lettertype.
Dat is deel één van onze missie.
Deel twee is het toepassen van de letters in nieuwe projecten en het terug tot leven brengen met hedendaagse technieken.
We at FONTRESCUE search for old letters on buildings, tombstones, machines,..... Letters sometimes designed by master builders, but usually the author is unknown.
Before they disappear, we want to save them by digitising them and supplementing them into a fully usable typeface.
That is part one of our mission.
Part two is applying the letters in new projects and bringing them back to life with contemporary techniques.
